One of my nephews is a great lover of Lego, so I decided to make him a Lego themed card for his birthday earlier this year. I made the bricks into the shape of his initial.
It took a bit of thought to figure out how I could make the paper Lego bricks, but I finally came up with a plan:
- Staple or glue together two layers of card
- Punch holes in the card
- Place coloured paper or card over the template and run an embossing tool over the top
- Cut the coloured paper or card to size
My nephew was so taken with the card that he insisted on being shown how to make one of his own when he came to visit!
