You may have noticed that there was something missing from my clay Clangers scene… an Iron Chicken! Not very easy to make one of them from clay! So, when I got an opportunity to get my hands on an Iron Chicken toy from the Clangers range, I jumped at the chance! And here she is, in all her glory, and she’s the perfect size to fit in with my little scene.
And I also got a pop-up Froglet. This really takes me back to my childhood, as little pop-up toys were the common prize in hunt-the-thimble contests at birthday parties at my house, as far as I can remember! This Froglet is a somewhat scaled-up version of these, so he is too big to fit with my miniatures, but makes a good companion to my plush Clangers!
These toys are both for ages 3+, and (luckily for me and unluckily for him) my nephew hasn’t quite reached that age yet, so I needn’t feel guilty about keeping them for myself! Which goes to show that these toys are attractive to us adult collectors of Clangers merchandise as well as to children!
