Blue heart

After decorating my bedroom, I felt that this little metal heart would fit in better if I painted it blue.

First I tried using spray paint, but I felt that the colour was too dark. So I made my own custom colour by mixing paint from a couple of tester pots to make a duck-egg blue, and gave the heart a couple of coats of this, followed by a clear varnish. 

I suspended the heart over a small bucket while the paint was drying.
