Some recent drawings

I'm really enjoying drawing in coloured pencil in my little kraft paper pad, so much so that my Moleskines are being neglected at the moment.

This drawing of my parents' spotty mug was inspired by seeing a drawing of mugs on mrana's blog, and she has just posted another fantastic drawing of her mug collection.

I have two little stone bird ornaments in my garden, one of which has recently reappeared after being missing for some time. It was hiding among some pebbles.

What a beautifully-drawn strawberry! Did you use coloured pencil for the white touches too? I have always found strawbs an intimidating subject because of the challenge of capturing the light and shadow on all those little seeds. Really lovely sketch.

Thank you Emma! I'd love to have your spotty mug in my collection, I just bought a range of spotty bowls in colours and am considering drawing those now! I really love the way you use colour and your drawings are beautiful, thoroughly inspiring and suitable humbling ... what a gorgeous strawberry!

What a wonderful strawberry! It looks so fresh and delicious you could almost eat it. The colored pencil on craft paper is a great idea, the colors just pop. No wonder you love it.

Thanks so much for the comments, everyone. I use a fine white Sharpie marker for the highlights. Mariana - I look forward to seeing the bowls if you draw them, and thanks so much for your lovely comments, which mean so much to me because I admire your work so much!
