The hotel I stayed at in Tuscany, at Artimino, had a great seating area outside where I could set up my camera on a small table on the mini tripod I’d brought, and take some photos.
Early in the morning it was quiet so I was able to take photos without any interested onlookers (who would perhaps be watching one of the other ladies from the tour group doing her Tai Chi at that time anyway!).
I also asked a few people from the group to take my photo when we were out and about. I really should remember to do this more often, but I’m always concentrating on taking photos myself or looking around, so I often forget.
