Vietnam: Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City, or Saigon as the locals prefer to call it, was much more modern and westernised than Hanoi. We visited a Chinese temple where there was a wedding going on, and went to the huge wholesale market in Chinatown.
We went to the War Remnants Museum, and the Presidential Palace. We had a walk past various significant buildings - Notre Dame, the Post Office (which had plaques with the names of various notable scientists), and the Opera House.
In the evening I went out with some of the others to the night market. We found another market first, which was just about to close down for the evening!

Yet another place I would like to visit in Vietnam. Love the vibrant colours of the city and the history seems sad but interesting!
