My kanzashi experiments led me to try out another Japanese craft - kusudama. These are folded and glued paper flowers that can be stuck together to form ball shapes.
I made a half ball, so I needed 30 squares of paper - five for each flower, and there are six flowers. Kusudama balls can be used for decoration, or as bouquets. I think it would be fun to try making hair ornaments from these, whether from single flowers, or half-ball shapes.
