From beaded mat to statement necklace

I got the wooden beaded mat below at a car boot sale, with the idea of making it into a statement necklace. I have the design above figured out, but I still need to figure out how to securely attach all the beads together.

Tiny pompoms

These teeny tiny pompoms were made by winding some scraps of wool around the tines of a fork! Really quick and easy.

Garden reading nook

Last week's weather was so nice that I wanted to spend as much time as possible out of doors, but the garden bench was not all that comfortable, so I added a couple of really comfy big cushions and a throw that I got in Peru.

Wild flower heart

My grass had got quite long, and there were lots of daisies and buttercups growing, so for fun I decided to leave a heart shaped patch of flowers unmown.
